This is not a common concert flute or a flute in the key of C,but it is a rare transposing flute as the tenor sax and in the same tenor sax tone of b flat!extension, until the low B flat!Closed Hole Bb Flute (Flute d'amour, Flauto d'amore, Tenor Flute, Flauto in SIb, Flauto tenore), B Footjoint, Sterling Silver Body Headjoint and Footjoint, Handmade Japan Custom, New and ready to play, with Case & Cleaning Rod Handmade Flute d'Amore in Bb key Altus 1009 SBE-S Azumino Japan, Serial Number 13xxx, made in 2016. Pointed Key-Arms Closed Hole, Soldered Tone holes, Britannia Silver 958 Haedjoint, Body and B Foot (A of Piano), Entirely Sterling Silver with Silver plated mechanism, Offset G, Split E Mechanism, Original carton box, Original Wood Case with Original black Bag & Cleaning Rod. I'm selling new and in perfect condition, Bb FLUTE D'AMOUR specimen among the few in the world, handmade flute made by Altus but in the key of B flat (not in the key of C as the common concert flutes!). Special footjoint in B, ie with thrombin, that gets real A of piano! This piece is part of my mini collection of Bb flutes that includes specimens nichel silver and sterling silver, with Bb foot, B foot and C foot. The flute d'amour 1009 is produced with Britannia sterling silver 958 and not, with common sterling silver 925. This type of special flute is highly sought after by professionals tenor saxophonists and unfortunately in vain around the world, who want to combine a second instrument at sax, without having to transpose all their repertoire pieces and all shades necessary for improvisation jazz, from tenor sax, to the key of C flute. The advantage is also to have a voice with a slightly darker and hugging, without having to resort to the alto flute in the key of G.Altus Description: "The 1009 Flute D'Amour offers infinite opportunities for special performance situations that require transposition. During the 18th century, the Flute D'Amour was commonly played and since 1960 has enjoyed a renaissance.
