I have a very nice 2015 Gibson SG Special in Translucent Ebony. The 2015 of course is quite a bit different than other years. And also different than Special models. Oft times the special model is a cheaper guitar. These are more akin to a standard in that they have a full nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Also the pickups are unique 61 zebra's and sound awesome. And the overall feel and build quality of it feels a bit more substantial than entry level Gibson's. Now the stock Robot tuners are gone. They were successfully retrofitted to Gibson Deluxe Tulip tuners. No extra holes were made. These are a direct drop in replacement. That is the best thing about the robot tuners. They are easily replaced without mods.Also i am including a 2015 SG case. It's the art deco Jetsons style gold rectangular case. These were made for Gibson by TKL and are great cases that normally did not come stock with a SG special. This is an extra inclusion.See pics for condition. It's very good. No major dings or scratches. Only the most minor of playwear. One tiny ding on the side of the body and a little bit of pick pattern wear. The finish looks immaculate. I cannot emphasize enough that a high gloss lacquer finish makes a guitar look great. It plays well, and has a great rosewood fretboard. 2015's have slightly wider more spacious fretboards.So overall i really dig this guitar. I also have a 2008 SG standard for sale at a higher price point. Honestly i think this one is the better value. Thanks for reading and considering!
