This hand carved mandolin was the seventh f-style mandolin that I build in 2005. It features a spruce top and curly maple back, sides and neck with an ebony fingerboard that is also radiused. There are abolone dots on the fingerboard and the end is scalloped to prevent pick noise. It has an Allen tailpiece and a removeable arm rest and has a lacquer finish for durability . This has been in my personal collection of instruments and has never been sold - so I call it new old stock that is well played in! It does have great sound and is easy and comfortable to play. There are some nicks here and there and the pictures show everything. The headstock inlay is my logo which I s my view of the blue ridge mountains! If you purchase this mandolin, I will give you a week to see if it fits your playing style, however should you wish to return it, you will pay for shipping and insurance and it must come back as me to you!Please ask questions if you have them and I will get back to you- thanksIt will ship in a case.
