1964 Fender Band-Master Head -Blackface, 53 years old, good condition!
Estimated price for orientation: 600 $
Category: Guitar Amplifiers
Class:
Description Exact Year: 1964 Model: Band-Master Brand: Fender Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
1964 Blackface Fender Bandmaster head. The amp is in pretty good shape for it's age. There are some scuffs and small tears in the tolex, some aging on the metal. It has the bottom bracket assembly for connection to a bandmaster cabinet. This amp has been slightly modified (reversible by a qualified technician). A "pre-amp output" 1/4" jack with a volume pot has been added on the back by the serial number (shown in photos). The signal feeding this jack comes from the bass pot on the "normal" channel. The normal channel functions as is with the bass setting maxed out to "10". The vibrato channel works normally. As noted, this modification is reversible. The pots are a little noisy when adjusting, but the amp sounds excellent. It provides a very punchy 40 watt output. I have owned it for 30 years (purchased it used in 1985), only used in my home studio (I have a Deluxe Reverb for gigs). The cabinet partially shown in the photos is not included. Power tubes will be removed for shipping and included in the package to avoid damage.
