Lloyd Allayre Loar (January 9, 1886 – September 14, 1943) was a sound engineer and master in the early part of the 20th century. He is most famous for his F5 model , , H5 mandola, K5 mandocello, and A5 mandolin. Loar was also a well-regarded musician on mandolin, viola, and musical saw. He traveled the United States and Europe in several musical groups. In one group, he performed with his future wife, Fisher Shipp. A surviving playbill shows that Loar performed in a that also included a speech by . Loar performed in many other groups that promoted the Gibson company, whose products Loar endorses in early Gibson catalogs. The LH-302T from The Loar is a reliable archtop with tone that's as animated as its looks. Its eye-catching Cherry Burst finish, thin body (1.5" depth), and Florentine cutaway give the LH-302T the look and feel of a guitar from years gone by. Its aesthetics aren't the only vintage element of the guitar, however; its dual P90s deal out a wide range of sounds that can be applied to a multitude of playing styles. Its 24 3/4" scale length and 1 11/16" nut width will make players feel right at home from the get-go, and its smooth "C" mahogany neck and 19-fret rosewood fretboard are an absolute pleasure to play. Whether you're after smooth jazz tones or more pronounced, punchy picking, the LH-302T is an archtop that does it all with its lively tone, striking looks, and stellar in-hand feel. Thanks to the 1-11/16 in. nut width and 24-3/4 in. scale, electric players will feel comfortable from the first note. The maple top, back and sides, and comfortable C-shape mahogany neck provide the ideal foundation for a great-sounding guitar that turns heads with tons of retro style. As players look deeper into history to revive classic designs, the “forgotten vintage” style of these 1960's-influenced instruments are finding their way to stages everywhere. From smoother acoustic tones to aggressive power chords, The Loar thinbody archtops deliver style, elegance and power for players who want true vintage inspiration in an impressive package. In our opinion it is very difficult for a used guitar to be a perfect 10. Our prices do not "change" but do get lowered when on eBay Markdown and eBay automatically returns to the listed price when the sale ends. . Please Note; while our listings are 30 day listings our reduced price sales end in 7 to 10 days. Do not lose out; The sale time remaining is shown at the top of the listing where the pricing info is displayed. We cannot honor sale prices after the sale ends. When possible, for comparison, we show retail prices supplied by the manufacturer (“MSRP”). Vintage and collectable prices are researched in buyer’s guides, eBay prior sales, other online sales and highest prices found for similar items.  S&H information: Our primary shipper is USPS. You are free to choose your preferred carrier with any additional costs borne by you. To see specific s&h costs open the “Payment and Shipping” tab at the top of the listing. Standard ships in 2 to 3 days and Expedited ships the first Business day after payment.  We are working with ebay to keep s&h cost low- If cost is important to you please choose economy. If you choose the faster premium s&h please do not penalize us in the feedback ratings for the higher costs. Please remember that any feedback lower than a 5 ebay rates as a negative.  We strive for your awarding us all “5s” If there is a problem email us for answers.  We have been awarded the top status available on eBay, in which we take pride. Our customers exhibit the same high standards when submitting a best offer, buy it now or having the high, winning bid. All of these are your promise to honor ebay policy and pay within the 3-day time frame.  Best Offer Sales (“OBO”)This adds some fun and can aid your decision to buy. From time-to-time select guitars are listed giving you the option to make an offer. Obviously we cannot sell at less than we pay for an item but if you make a reasonable offer, leaving some profit, most likely the offer will be accepted. Your OBO will be responded to immediately  since we do not play one eBayer off against another. Please note: OBO  or Marked down sale items are “all sales final” and cannot be returned All sales are final subject to the terms shown in this listing. Unpaid purchases are reported to ebay and if remain unpaid will result in a non-payer strike which can result in a loss of your privileges. Guitar set ups and strings are not warranteed since rough handling, travel/shipping can affect the setup. This is especially so if being shipped through many zones and atmospheric differences. We encourage you to have your guitar freshly set up upon arrival.  Most of our listings use the specification releases by the manufacturer. We assume no responsibility for changes made by manufacturer. The pictures used in the listing are of the actual guitar you will receive rely upon the pics over the printed specs. We no longer list serial Nos. due to the proliferation of knock-offs using stolen serial Nos. Email for serial number sufficient to check guitar manufacture date.  International Buyer Policy: Beginning this year, CITES regulation surrounding the international shipment of rosewood instruments has increased s&h costs for international shipments.  A license must be bought for each guitar containing Rosewood.  Upon arrival postal and or customs may charge you brokerage, duty, VAT, tax, oversize charges, etc. for which you are responsible. Each country has package size restrictions. Packages refused by your country and returned/received back by GuitarStable will receive a full refund of the purchase price less the s&h since s&h is not refunded by usps. Most countries have loss/damage coverage  limits, if loss/damage occurs we assume no responsibility for amounts in excess of these limits. Due to the higher costs as well as the higher risks involved in international handling, except as noted, we do not accept returns from international buyers.  We are happy to work with international buyers but want you to recognize that relative to domestic shipping, international s&h has greater costs, packaging, documentation and handling. It is due to these difficulties and risks that we cannot  accept international returns. Please note: Inquire for rates to Canada. Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. possessions do not qualify for Lower 48 rates Please inquire.
