Description Brand: AKG Country/Region of Manufacture: Austria Type: Vintage Microphone Model: C60
AKG C60 tube condenser microphone pair with pelican case and two original "in the box" wind screens from the 1960s. One vintage mic clip is also included. New power supply with new cables. The microphones were recently serviced by the AKG repair guru David Brown in Los Angeles. A NOS AC701 tube was installed in one of the microphones. Due to the age there is varying degrees of noise floor but the microphone sound amazing. Great for acoustic Guitar, and vocals, and virtually any other instrument. I've also used these microphones on snare drums and electric guitar with great success.Smoke-free studio use only. Very clean examples of this wonderful microphone.Feel free to make me an offer!More info:Find an AKG C60 microphone, together with it's associated N60A power supply and lead. The N60A PSU is required, as this also contains the microphone out-put matching transformer. The associated capsule, CK26 or CK28, is not required, but useful to keep. The electronics, of the AKG C60, use's the famous "Telefunken" AC701k valve. The difference being, that in the the C60, the out-put stage is wired as a "Cathode" follower. A "Plus point" being, the C60 out-put matching transformer is somewhat larger then that used in the M250/251. This giving greater LF headroom, than that of the Elam's.
