Description
Brand: Ibanez Items Included: Case
Model: Destroyer Exact Year: 1977

Made by Ibanez in 1977, their effort to replicate Gibson's Korina Explorer model has become a legendary guitar in its own right. Used by 1970's rock icons like Eddie Van Halen, the Destroyer has a classic sound with two PAF style humbuckers and high quality build that Ibanez was known for. This 1977 guitar includes the original hard case and truss rod tool. Condition is overall very good with some nicks and chips of the original finish, detailed in the photos of every part of the instrument. There is some finish checking around the treble side of the neck joint but there is nothing broken and no repairs evident. The frets show almost no wear. The setup is very comfortable and the guitar sounds great, covering a wide range of tones. The original owner wrote his name and the guitar's serial number inside the wiring channel. He also added a mini-switch. I disconnected the switch and put the wiring back to stock. I left the switch in place to cover the small hole but it's easy enough to remove if you prefer. Plays very comfortably with a new set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10's and a recent setup. Sounds devastating too!
