Antique Jules Martin French Military-style Raw Brass Cornet. This instrument was made between 1875 and 1890 in Paris. The serial number is 4008.It has a raw brass finish, which is typical of horns from this period. This instrument is very rare because its valves are on the left side of the valve section (see photos.) All the parts that are included are original. It has 4 tuning bits that allow it to play in B-flat, A, A-flat and G. It does not have any dents, and is in great working condition - all valves and slides move freely. Bell is inscribed: "Metals were received at the 1855 exposition." Manufacturer's address is Boulevart St. Martin 4, Paris. It comes with 2 original mouthpieces, a lyre and original wood coffin case, which is in fair condition. Please see photos for more details.
