1978 gibson RD artist -orignal guitar from 1978-not a reissue!!-serial number 71368042 -reburst finish-goldplated hardware-square mother of pearl inlays on the neck-this was the "top of the line" model!!-little played-in my collection for 35yrs!!-and i am a collector only-cannot play-so guitar hardly used since new!!onboard electronics by moog all original and working-am including a high quality new 9v. battery- in case the fitted battery needs changing-you just unscrew a small plate on the back of the guitar and change the battery.there is slight wear to the gold plating on tailpiece and pickup covers-just through age-not use. also one dent/ding on front face of body-probably caused by a microphone.guitar comes with a gibson strap-a 1970's gibson badge-2x plectrums-a book"the gibson story"-and some correspondance from gibson regarding their serial numbers and how to confirm the age of your gibsongibson did not make many of these guitars-production was only from about 1977 to 1982-good collector/investor guitar as values can only keep going up.guitar was last serviced in 2003 at manchester guitar centre-not been played since.i prefer pickup in person and payment in cash in stockport near manchester
