Based on Randy's 1970's model Gibson Les Paul, this model was only available in Japan and this is one of very few here in the US. This one is an original one from the 80's and it still has the Randy Rhoads Model engraved pick guard. The hardware is gold but as you can see it is fading to a more silver color. The body was white but has aged to an off white/cream color due to age.In very good condition for its age. Please see pics. Neck is nice and straight with plenty of fret life left. Body may have some superficial scratches but no major dings or chips. There are a few finish imperfections here and there so take a good look at all the pics in case I missed something in the description.Pickups/electronics and hardware appear to be all original.I would say there is still 80% fret life left in this guitar.Body and Neck is Mahogany and the weight of this Les Paul is in the low 9's. The fretboard is Ebony.Someone asked me about the neck shape and here is my response as to is it a 50's or 60's profile:"It's a little thicker than my 1981 Les Paul custom. I remember I had an R9 that had a ridiculous baseball bat feel and this definitely doesn't have that, much thinner but still decent meet to it. So I would say probably closer to a 60's profile."BEWARE!!! If you are a person in Europe or the USA that collects these guitars beware of Ebay sellers in Japan selling these. Ever wonder why there are two or three sellers with the exact same guitar? It's because they don't actually own it and are waiting for you to send funds so they can buy it, if its still even in stock, so you are getting pics and descriptions third hand. Sure my items may cost a little more but the guitar is actually here in the USA and each one is played through, electronics tested and setup with brand new strings by world renown amp maker and guitar tech Mark Cameron. I even offer a refund policy if you are not happy with the guitar.
