This amp has had all the best mods done to make it sound the best it can! Gone is the fizzy drive & the flat clean tones, now it has the ability to have Fender like cleans, Marshall Overdrive & Boogie distortion, it's a swiss army knife for a gigging musician.
I've been the only owner for 9 years & with me it's played over 300 gigs & been on 4 albums, it's in mint condition! It's NOT JUST FOR METAL, absolutely killer, versatile amp!A little history:I bought this amp brand new in 2007 & shipped it over from the US, unlike most US Dual recs, I had this one converted to 240v, that way there's no need for any step up transformers... Not only did I have it converted, Simon Tragear from 'Man with the golden arm' hand-wound a specific transformer so it runs at peak performance, better than stock. Upgrade number 1.I also had Simon change the fx loop from Parallel to Serial, which makes the loop much more useable & also improves the clarity of anything in the loop, upgrade number 2.Later I was getting sick of the 'fizzy' drive tones & the flat clean channel, so I had Don Kohinga from Southern Cross Audio perform the 'valve bias' mod, which IMPROVES these amps out of sight, all of the sudden the clean channel is pretty & useable, the drive channels clear up immensely & the tone is still there at lower volumes, Boogies run very cold stock, which results in little to no touch response, now the amp has a lot more dynamics. Upgrade number 3.
PLUS I had all the preamp valves replaced with premium JJ's. Upgrade 4.The amp has been serviced at least once a year/ every 2 years & it has never let me down.Comes with genuine cover, foot pedal, midi cable, instruction manual & spare original valves.Regrettable sale, but I now have an endorsement with an amp company & no longer need this amp... Serious buyers more than welcome to play it, located in Craigieburn.Feel free to ask any questions or make a serious offer. Thanks!
