Rarer than rocking horse sh!t.
I don't even know where you'd go to find this triple threat of vintage Australian rock glory.
If you have a semi small to medium large tent appearing in your pants right now, then read on, fellow Gear-Lords... 1) 1973 - 1977 Baez 50w head. Originally a Bass head rocking 6550's, this has been rebiased to run 2 x EL34's @ 50w.
Modded by Mick closer to Lead specs and confirmed by Mick as such.
This thing sounds like a direct split between a 1986 model 50w Plexi and an Orange OR120. I'd know, cos I've owned both.
More low mids and lows than a typical 4-hole 50w.
Raw. Organic. Real.
With an SD-1 out front I have NEVER heard an amp nail first album Van Halen like this thing. 2) Matching BAEZ cab. Recently pro recovered by Achillies amps. Loaded with Rola Celestion G12-50's which are pretty much vintage 50w Greenbacks. Sounds like pure sweet love. 3) Vintage BAEZ boost pedal. Goes from clean boost to a dirty Muff like fuzzy drive. No trades please as I don't need another half stack and the $ is going into an AC30. Doncaster.
