For sale is a beautiful and very Rare Conn Cornet. It was manufactured in 1918 for the Great Lakes Navy Band. At this time John Philip Sousa was the band master .. so this horn perhaps was used in his band at that time. It is in excellent condition .. the plating is very nice .. Silver plated with Gold plated trim on bell and ferrules and gold wash inside the inner bell flare. This the Conn Victor New Wonder Model. All slides are free and micro-tuner at rear works very well. Valves are fast and horn plays OK. Includes original case (marked USN on outside metal tag). Also has nice Conn mute, gold plated Conn Wonder mouthpiece, lyre, cleaning rod and grease tin.
