This is tascams midizer which is really an all purpose unit for locking your whole studio together. In its simplest form it will act as a remote control for any tascam MSR machines. It can generate and read time code so it can also lock all your midi devices to the Tape machines as well. This listing includes the midizer as well as instruction manual and a cable to connect to the msr Tape machine. Mine was 24 track but I believe the cable will work with the 8 and 16 track machines as well. Please ask any and all questions before buying and I'll do my best to help.
