FOR SALE:1996 PARKER FLY DELUXE, PRE-REFINED, BLACK - MADE IN USADESCRIPTION: This 1996 Parker Fly Deluxe Vibrato was built when Ken Parker himself was making these guitars, before he sold the company. I bought it in 1997 and I have taken great care of it. There is a small cosmetic crack at the 24th fret but otherwise it looks great, with no chips or dings like you often see on these guitars. This guitar plays and sounds like no other. Your fingers fly across the fretboard with effortless bends and vibrato, thanks to the low action, the super hardened stainless steel frets, and the glass and carbon fiber fretboard. This is the fastest, smoothest playing guitar I have ever held in my hands. Easy access to all 24 frets. Switch instantly from rich DiMarzio dual humbuckers to the Fishman piezo pickup for a clean acoustic sound, and use the included original stereo Y-cable to run each sound through a different amp. Or, with the flip of a switch, combine the magnetic and piezo pickups, for a huge range of tonal possibilities.Using a tool-less selector switch on the back panel, you can switch between a fixed bridge, bend down-only mode, or floating mode in which you can bend both up and down with the whammy bar. Use the balance wheel to adjust the tension to your liking. Thanks to the amazing engineering of the vibrato system, this guitar never goes out of tune, even with liberal use of the whammy bar. Also, string changes are a breeze because strings are fed through the bridge on the top of the guitar, and Sperzel locking tuners eliminate tedious string winding.HISTORY: Original owner. Original manual and instructions included. Purchased new on 5/29/97. Original list price $2425. Played lightly from 1997-1999, and played only rarely since then. Always kept indoors in temperature controlled, humidity controlled, smoke free environment. Cared for meticulously over the years. The stacked knob on the guitar is original (for piezo tone/volume). - Black adjustable guitar strap- Wrenches: 3/32” Allen wrench, T-handle (for saddle and intonation adjustments). 1/8” Allen wrench, L-style. 5/32” Allen wrench, L-style (for action adjustments, through back panel). T27 Torx wrench, long handle L-style (for truss rod adjustments).SPECS:Pickups. Pickups include two custom wound DiMarzio humbuckers and a six-element Fishman piezo pickup. Both humbuckers have plenty of power and the tone is rich, responsive and resonant with great sustain. The piezo acoustic pickup has beautiful tone and excellent clarity. With the included stereo Y-cable, you can split the magnetic pickups to a regular guitar amp and send the acoustic signal directly to a PA or acoustic amp at the same time. Use the selector to switch between acoustic and electric, or combine the two sound sources for unlimited tonal possibilities. There is a 9V battery compartment for the piezo pre-amp.
Body / Neck. Poplar body and basswood neck with neck-through construction, strengthened with a carbon / glass fiber / epoxy composite exoskeleton. The carbon fiber exoskeleton makes this instrument incredibly stable. Stays in tune even with liberal use of the whammy bar.Bridge.
