1986 E Series Fender Contemporary Stratocaster Made in Japan SN: E6XXXXX humbucker, 2 single coil pickups, one volume and one TBX tone control ! more tone control and it’s passive.(no battery) Also the tone control works on all 3 pickups.*see below for more pickup information System 1 Fender tremolo, black Fender Japan rotomatic tuners. black single layer black pickguard all hardware is black in played shape, not overly worn; the 4 bolt neck plate has a bit of black missing great looking rosewood fingerboard(22 fret) with minimum fretware; black headstock and back of neck, a common contemporary feature-excellent shape awesome blue color, I was told is called Ice Blue, and looking at a color chart, that appears to be correct.It is afine metallic, and please do not confuse this with Lake Placid Blue- This is a RARE COLOR and highly collectable. The finish is in EXCELLENT shape, with a small scrape on 1 edge, and a ding on a horn, both visible in photos- the photos are part of the description, LOOK! Offers considered. Motivated seller. FROM THE WEB * The pickups used in the Contemporary models were manufactured by Fujigen. All of the pickups used on the Contemporary models have alnico magnets instead of ceramic. The humbucking pickups used in the Contemporary models have a DC resistance which is approximately 7.6 . The single coil pickups used in the Contemporary models have a DC resistance which is approximately 5.6 kΩ. The Contemporary models that use a TBX tone control use 500 kΩ volume pots and use 0.022 µF tone capacitors.
