Beautiful original North Drums. Purchased by me in 1978 from "DRUMS" in Crafton, Pa. This set has not been "restored" (or destroyed depending on your definition) but is in great shape with no cracks or breaks. Paint has some scratches (more photos available on request) Sled and hardware all in pretty good shape. All hardware works. Floor Tom has one odd leg hardware in second to last picture. I think this was during a transition from one company to another as the provider of hardware for NORTH because I heard an interview with Roger North and he spoke of the change when (I think Ludwig) decided not to sell to them anymore. I've also noticed that on some newer sets the hardware looks alot like the single odd one I have a photo of on the floor tom.
These drums have an amazing sound. The bend in the tone after the strike is moving, particularly with the oil heads. From an audience standpoint I would say it's far more representative of what the drummer hears than any other conventional set.
Feel free to ask questions and as I said I'll be happy to send photos of hardware and paint anomalies.
Shipping cost seem to vary and so we would have to discuss further. Pick up would be the best option. Pittsburgh, PA.
