Up for sale is a Weber Gallatin Octave Mandolin model A14 with an oval sound hole. The serial number is 816004. I think that it was made in 2008 as the original case (which is included) has a date of March 2008. The octave has a scale length of 22” and is great for Irish music. A well-known luthier in our area built a new bridge for it (a $300 adjustment), but there is occasional fret buzz on the G string. It may require a slight truss rod adjustment. The octave has not been played in the last three years as it was replaced by a custom octave mandolin. It is up for sale now due to a recent purchase of a new (to me) fiddle and something has to go. It will be a great octave mandolin for Irish session or Old Time music. There are a few nicks on the back of the neck and on the case. Overall, the instrument has a great appearance, minimal signs of wear, and a great sound. Please ask all questions prior to purchase.
