Custom built, professional grade 5 string resonator banjo. Curly maple neck with tunnelled 5th string by Clancy Mullins. Bryan England "Bluegrass Special" inlay. EVO gold frets that like stainless steel do not wear out but I personally find easier to play. Waverly V-2 tuners. Resonator is flame maple by Gill. (Hard to see in the picture but beautiful flame to it). The pot hardware is all Prucha including the flange, tension hoop, armrest, hooks & nuts, TP bracket, coordinator rods. The tailpiece is a genuine heavy brass Price. The rim is a custom cut Pass "submerged birch timber" block rim that is the same dimension as his famous "Thin Skirt" but cut straight up inside to increase the air chamber size. A prewar Gibson tone hoop sits on top. The head is a "FIrst Quality" branded Ludwig. The resulting tone is very powerful and similar to a new Stelling, but super lightweight at the same time. I had this banjo custom built for me a year ago but I am downsizing as part of a move out of state and can only take one banjo with me, so unfortunately this one along with a few others are being put up for sale. It is a breeze to play, notes strongly and evenly up and down the fretboard, and you can play it for hours without your back hurting. Comes in a like-new TKL "Professional" series case which is the higher priced TKL case with leather handle, arched top, and D rings to attach a strap. Buyer to pay $50 shipping.
