NEWLY FINISHED 2015 - vintage peg head style guitar - superb Canadian cedar top with beautiful Madagascan rosewood back and sides. Mahogany bindings 650mm scale, ebony finger board 52mm wide at the nut. Sounds delightful, pleanty of volume, with lots of tonal colour, sustain. In my view concert quality. See photographs of this great guitar in the picture gallery - just click on image for larger picture. Any questions please contact me. Sides are double thickness designed to give the instrument projection. With the exception of the frets and strings this guitar was entirely hand crafted.  One or two special design ideas have also been incorporated – such as cross brace fan bracing which seems to complement the cedar top beautifully. Sound of course is difficult to describe but to my ears the instrument has great sustain, trebles singing through with their own voice supported by rich bass strings. All this is designed to delight the discerning guitarist. See more on  web - tkclassicalguitars.co. 2) The most time consuming work is sanding and finishing
3) The most skill is required to sculpt the neck, head, bridge, bond the 2 halves of the top and fine tune the top.
4) The most delicate stage is the thinning of the soundboard and preparation of the action
5) Patience is ESSENTIAL throughout
6) The most intimidating stage is routing for the bindings and the purflings
7) The most thrilling experience is tapping the soundboard and hear the sound change with every adjustment.
8) A modern technique requires special luthier tools and forms.
9) Great attention is required for the routing for the rosette
10) Unbelievable is seeing the wood bend with the heat
11) Wonderful is the experience of playing a newly finished guitar
12) Not anyone can build a concert guitar
