Capek "Little Banjo" Maple 5 String BanjoA great little open back banjo from Capek with a short scale neck and 8" pot, ideal for the banjo player looking for a higher quality travelling banjo.
Built with a real 3 ply 8" maple rim and a maple neck this amazing banjo packs a punch when it comes to tone and volume despite it's smaller size.
Can be tuned to regular G tuning (we recommend heavier strings for this), A tuning or Double D.This is a superb high quality banjo from one of the Czech republics finest luthiers.
As with all Capek Banjos this is a handmade original, made from only the highest quality materials using fine craftsmanship gained through many years of experience.The RimThe rim on the Brdy Banjo is of high quality 3 ply maple construction.
The rim is equipped with 18 nickel plate bracket hooks and shoes which when tightened apply tension to the solid brass notched stretcher band.
The head in this case is a frosted top head which is specially manufactured for Capek by Remo.The Bridge & Tail pieceThe bridge on the Little banjo is a high quality hard rock maple bridge with an ebony cap.
The tail piece is the classic "no knot".The NeckThe neck of the little banjo is maple and which gives this banjo a relatively bright tone.
it is inlaid with genuine MOP dot position markers.The HeadstockThe headstock has an ebony veneer on the peg face is inlaid with the Capek logo in genuine mother of pearl.
