This rare 1988 Gibson V90 is in great condition. It has two reversible modifications which include better quality strap buttons, and the Steinberger tremolo bridge posts were upgraded with thicker, higher quality versions than the originals. These were added to enhance the performance and safety of the guitar. The original parts are included. The pickup is an EMG 81, which I do not believe is original to this guitar, though I could be wrong, as there were several variations on this model. The neck on this is rather unusual. If you've owned a Gibson before then you know the necks can tend to be a bit thick. This neck is thinner than a typical Gibson V and very reminiscent of a Jackson or Ibanez neck. The body is also slightly smaller than a typical Gibson V, making this completely unique from anything Gibson offers today. It comes with a leg rest (another Steinberger creation) that makes playing while sitting down comfortable. The bridge can operate either as a fixed bridge or a floating tremolo by the flip of a locking switch located on the trem face. The tremolo can be switched back and forth without requiring any tools, springs, etc. There is no back plate to take off, all bridge adjustments are made through the front. The original hardshell case comes with the guitar. This is the brown leather exterior and pink felt interior USA Gibson case. The case has a built in pink felt shroud to cover the guitar from anything that might fall into the case while opening it. The case itself is in very good condition and has all the original latches, except for the locking latch in the middle. The case has some scuffs and scratches but is in relatively good condition for it being original leather and going on 30 years old. I generally only ship on Wednesdays and Saturdays, but will make exceptions whenever I can. This is listed locally and in other places online, so this listing will be closed if it sells elsewhere.Guitar will be fully insured when shipped, with tracking and will require signature confirmation. Continental US only. If you're an international bidder, please contact me first so we can discuss options.Your guitar was made at the Nashville Plant, TN, USAon July 6th, 1988Production Number: 206
