Beautiful Vintage 1990 Fender '62 Reissue Telecaster Old Candy Apple Red MIJ A-Serial Another very cool one here. This is the second of two very old Fender Fuji-Gen ’62 Telecasters we currently have in. Please check our listings for the other one, a sweet 1989 Piano Black ’62. So here is a stunning Fender Old Candy Apple Red (darker than the normal CAR) 62' RI Telecaster (TL62B). This is Fender Japan's top of the line Tele. All the good stuff. Double bound, alder body, dark rosewood fretboard and heaps of vintage mojo. She’s date penciled from 1990 on the neck heel and is from back when Fender stamped the neckplates on their ’62 Telecasters. Like the other vintage ’62 we currently have for sale, the double body binding has aged beautifully on this Tele, having naturally faded to a deep dark vintage yellow over the decades, it looks superb against the OCR body (just check the pics). She plays great too, nice action with plenty of bite & twang if you want it courtesy of the 3 saddles. The lightweight alder body feels very resonant. Looks all factory correct to me with the 3-ply white pickguard, 3 spiral saddles, Fender A-Serial stamped bridge plate and TL vintage pups. No issues either electrically or structurally. Neck fine, frets fine, truss rod fine. Being from 1990 she is not new & not mint but in excellent condition, a few light scrapes here & there but NO nasty dings, paint chips etc. The Fuji-Gen poly looks and feels very thin, which you often find on these late 80’s Teles. It adds to the resonance of this guitar & also looks pretty cool. Complete with Japanese gig bag. Don't miss it, once she's gone she's gone. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks.
