Much more than a Telecaster replica, this Luminous Centerline Classic is a marriage of vintage tone and looks with modern playability. Built using a refined combination of modern and traditional luthiery and woodworking techniques, this is sure to be one of the finest instruments you’ve had in your hands.This Centerline Classic features a three piece ash body with a custom dyed Islay Blonde nitrocellulose finish. The slab style construction results in a body that is vintage correct in appearance and tone. A thin nitro finish gleams and protects without sealing the wood’s natural resonance in plastic.All Centerline guitars feature a slim, hand-carved neck joint, offering major playing improvements over traditional guitars of this style.The neck is constructed from quarter sawn Eastern Maple and features a nicely figured . The 9.5” radius fingerboard features 22 extra-tall/medium-width frets and white clay dots. Its hand carved C profile strikes a balance between true-vintage fat and modern thin. It feels cozy along the full length for players of all hand sizes. The thin lacquer finish on the back of the neck is sanded to a satin finish for superior motion.Ash is a dense wood that offers bright, tight, plucky tones. Think "Born to Run" Telecaster single note passages and clear note definition when playing chords. The Onamac Windery "Broadcster/Nocaster" set is a 1950's replica set with crisp highs, sharp attack and twang to spare. They are handwound by Kerry Learned at Onamac Windery. In his words:"In the early years Tele/No-caster/Broadcaster pickup output levels were all over the map. The range in tone is wide, all the way from holy grail to very mediocre. Of those original black guard sets there were a couple main differences, some had a fairly high output and superior tone, some were wound less bold and are thin sounding. Just like vintage PAFs they aren't all great.Wound like the higher output incarnation of the Broadcaster (10k+/-) this bridge has all the twang you'd expect from an original while maintaining the well balanced meaty mid range growl of the more desirable models. An early style zinc-plated steel base plate puts the finishing touch on the bridge pickup."With the purchase of this instrument, I will string and set the guitar up to your specifications free of charge. It is currently equipped with D’Addario 10-46 strings, but I will alter this to your preference.
