I'm selling my Yamaha GC50 Grand Concert Custom guitar made by Ezaki. It's different from regular GC guitars in that it is a custom guitar. Very rare. Very high-end concert level guitar. Priced to sell. My loss is your gain. *Year: early 90s
*Top: solid spruce
*Back & side: Solid Brazilian rosewood (later version (2000s) of GC50 has Indian or Honduran rosewood)
*51mm nut. 650mm scale.
*Condition: excellent. Only a few dings and light scratches that are not easily noticeable. Without them, it would be 'like new'. No issue at all. No repair history.
*Action: very low. approximately 3.5mm/2/7mm at the 12th fret, low E and high E respectively. No buzzing. Very easy to play.
* Original Hardshell case is included.
* free shipping (but the buyer pays the return shipping, which is Ebay Rule)
* feel free to ask any question and to make an offer.I used to be a guitar major student. Since I quit it, the guitar has stayed in the case. It has a beautiful lyrical sound with brightness and clarity that you can imagine only in professional concert guitars. The volume is very loud. Intonation and balance are just perfect. I unloaded my recording of this guitar at Youtube (search "Yamaha GC50 demo)When the custom GC series were introduced in 1983, GC50 was priced 500,000 Yen. Since the late 80s, the number however doesn't correspond to the price. I attached pics of the Yamaha catalog (mid 2000s) that says,
GC70(C) 1,680,000 Yen.
GC71: 1,680,000 Yen.
GC60/62 (662mm): 1,050,000 Yen.
GC50(C): 945,000 Yen.
GC41(C): 294,000 Yen.
GC31(C): 199,550 Yen.
GC21(C): 168,000 Yen.
