1955 Kay Pro K-172 predecessor to the BARNEY KESSEL PRO Sunburst FLAME MAPLE!!!

Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1955 Kay Pro model K-172 which was the predecessor to the Barney Kessel Pro. The original Sunburst finish really shows off its impressive display of flame maple on the top and back. Even the sides show a little bit of flame. It has a decent playing neck with good frets, but the end of the neck has an upward rise that causes some fret buzz past the 12th fret on the bass side. It's all original and 100% complete. A later chipboard case is included. The neck has been reset at one point in time, and is now solid. This vintage Kay looks great with some nicks + dings, very minor finish checking, and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound. It has a set of original "no-line" Kluson Deluxe tuning keys with metal buttons. All electronics work and sound great.
