Yamaha YCL-621 Professional Wood Bass Clarinet, Beautiful Silver Plate,Low Eb This auction is for a Yamaha 621II Professional Level Wood Bass Clarinet. This Modern, beautiful silver plated instrument is in great playing condition, and plays wonderfully. The neck can be lengthened to adjust tuning of the instrument and it has a second automatic register key, making the upper register especially responsive. It is keyed down to low Eb and is a two piece instrument. Tuning is great on this instrument, and so is response, thanks to the automatic second register pip on the neck.. The pads are showing some age, but still have some life in them. This instrument retails for over $10,000 and they don’t come up on the used market very often, take advantage of this deal while you can. There are no cracks or repaired cracks that we could find on the wood of the instrument. The neck is slightly bent down, but this instrument plays just fine and It does not significantly impact the instrument, but could be repaired. In terms of playability, this is a very nice instrument. It has a lovely dark tone that blows away pretty much all the other bass clarinets I have worked on. It breaks down into two pieces, and includes the original Yamaha case, which has some scratches on the case, but is starting to show age. You will find this clarinet a great instrument to cherish for a long time. The original 4C mouthpiece is included, though you will probably want to upgrade it.
