1994 Zon Sonus Special fretless Bass with HipshotThis bass is in excellent condition for its age! Neck is a composite fixed neck (no truss rod, and none needed). Neck is very stable, action is low and very playable. Fretless fingerboard is lined, but subtly. I believe the fingerboard is graphite or phenowood. It is hard to tell its lined unless you're up close or playing it yourself. The body is lightweight ash, with a very nice bubinga top. Bass weighs around 8 pounds. Electronics include bartonlini hum canceling Jazz style pickups with a 2 band bart pre-amp. Stacked concentric knobs arranged as volume / volume in front pots and bass / treble in the back. A very flexible pre-amp. It's easy to dial in bright highs, thunderous lows, with this pre-amp and the composite neck, there is plenty of room for mid-range growl or fretless "mwah" sounds. Very versatile. Bass has a hipshot d-tuner for easy access to drop-d or whatever you prefer to toggle your e-string to.Comes with strap locks and original Zon hard case. The case show its age. It's rough, but does a great job protecting this classic. Please take a look at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions!
