1940’s Rickenbacker Electro Model B6 lapsteelLate 1940’s Rickenbacker Electro Model B6 lapsteel. Bakelite body with metal plates. Great shape with some and very light pitting and chipping around the edges of the white plates, general wear and functioning tuners. There are a couple nicks in the Bakelite, some of the white paint on either side of the frets has faded. No unusual hums or cracking sounds. All original. The classic “horseshoe” pickup (post-war, 1-1/4″ version) is clear, strong and has a fantastic sound. This pick up is exceptionally responsive. It can't be stated strongly enough what a remarkable sound this guitar produces. It's clear if not cranked, but when you do turn it up a bit it breaks up and growls a little. An authentic addition to any country & western, "outlaw" blues band. Very collectible. Includes a new gig bag that fits snugly.Serious inquiries, please. This item is very dear to me. I've started to list it several times. Each time I plug it in, play a bit, and it calls me. But time has come for it to move along now, a new home is calling. It's a rare and historic yet functional instrument. I checked the prices of others and believe I've priced this to sell.Check the photos, ask me questions. If you've played one before, you know what is possible. Now's your chance.Returns are not permitted due to the unfortunate practice of parts swapping. Sorry, I cannot ship this item out of country. We will pack carefully and ship fully insured with sig required. Bid with confidence.
