The regular price of this neck is 1300.00 ...Had someone ask me to disassemble the gryphon banjo and sell just the neck and .... reluctant to undo work that I went to the trouble and expense of doing ... I decided to make a loose neck available. I'm still working on the finish on it. It will be totally done tomorrow (6-5-17) The scale length is 26 inches and it's 1 1/4" at the nut...You'll notice that the last picture shows the neck with the dowel stick removed. I finally built a dedicated line boring fixture for my Vega reproduction necks. The dowel stick shown will be included, or you can use your own. The dowel stick is fitted to a 10 15/16" pot. The line boring rig is great. Every single dowel stick hole is the same ... correct in axis and azimuth ... depth and diameter. A perfect installation every time. The strings will properly center on the banjo ... as the 3rd string is the true center of the neck.It only took me 25 years to get around to building it. Basically ... the surgeon who did my revision hernia surgery ... said "no more pushing on that drill, buddy" ... so, painted into a corner ... I made the thing. I wish I'd done it long long ago.Better pics as finish work progresses. I have to slip out for a few hours ... but will get back to it this evening.Wyatt Fawley
