1.8 Tozan jiari shakuhachi made by the superb famous master maker Suikyo Hara!!! His shakuhachi are widely used among Japanese professional players and abroad. It plays wonderfully and powerfully, the tone colour is superb, plays with ease, the shakuhachi techniques responds very well and is perfectly in tune. It is a very responsive instrument!!! It can play the full range of the octaves, 3 in total.The top and the bottom part of this shakuhachi has been repaired to perfection by Suikyo himself and lacquered the whole flute with brown urushi, and looks like the main 1.8 of shakuhachi master Kohachiro Miyata, with similar repair aesthetics and seven holes shakuhachi, to perform contemporary and modern music. The nagatsuki was made with pure silver rings. You can play on this shakuhachi all the shakuhachi styles from Honkyoku to modern and contemporary music. It bears the stamp of Suikyo Hara. The original cost of this high end shakuhachi was $4,500.The total length is 55 cm. Diameter on the utaguchi: 3,6 x 2 cm. Diameter on the root end: 4,5 x 3 cm. Holes diameter: 11 mm. Weight: 383 grs.
