Mad Cat guitars became famous for having been played by Prince.Mad Cat was originally designed and made by a Japanese manufacture, Moridaira (Gakki). It was sold in Japan under H.S. Anderson brand but in overseas countries it was sold with Hohner logo. Moridaira sold similar models with their other brands such as Bill Lawrence and Bill Brother's in domestic market. This guitar is one of them.In 80s and 90s these guitars were made in a Morris factory in Japan. Bill Brother's brand was introduced several years after Bill Lawrence. This ‘Excellent’ Series were made in Japan.
As you can see by the pictures this guitar is in superb condition. It has no fret wear and clearly has been under someone’s bed for a very long time. The serial number dates it to 1991. The gold hardware is not that gold any more but it is not pitted or anything like that.I will ship internationally but will take the neck off. Posting guitars from Australia is outrageously expensive and what you save on postage you can get a luthier to do your neck if you don't trust yourself. :-)Postage is an estimate and will be calculated based on your location. Freepost in Australia.I may regret selling this because it plays beautifully and is way in front of the Fender Equivalent. If you are a collector of rare guitars this is a good one.
