Set of two vintage Gretsch pickups. Supertron and Supertron II pair from a 1967 Gretsch Viking. Gold plated covers. Sound fantastic and readings right on the money. Including original wires and connectors. Also including three original gold plated screws and one non-original brass screw.Gold plating is tarnished and some has worn off.Readings: Supertron 4.08 k, Supertron II 4.28 kSuperTron:The SuperTron was a more powerful variation on the FilterTron used from 1964-1980. They have a parallel pair of blades spanning their full width instead of individual polepieces, and were usually used on higher-end models such as the Viking and Country Gentleman, although they also turned up on the Monkees model. The SuperTron was designed to be a bit hotter than a FilterTron and to retain volume when strings were bent. Don't be fooled by the low readings of these pickups. They are supposed to read around 4 k and have Alnico magnets providing plenty of output and that authentic vintage Gretsch sound.SuperTron II:Like the SuperTron, only with thin multiple blades making up the polepiece bars.
