Gibson Les Paul Special TV Yellow 1956 Rare and almost entirely original 1956 Gibson Les Paul TV model with original TV yellow finish. At one point in it's life someone did a string-through conversion complete with Telecaster bridge. Thanks to our in-house repairman/luthier Harry Fuhler we can forget this black page in it's history! He filled in the holes and fitted a newer - but historically correct - lightweigth allumium wraptail bridge with the correct melt ribble at the bottom, he also used older long tail Studs from our vintage stock of spare parts. And while he was at it he also did the frets and a heavenly setup which makes this guitar play like butter and sound absoluty amazing. The Les Paul Special Single Cut was produced only from 1955 to 1958, In mid-1958, Gibson introduced the Double-cut version. The Late 1956, 1957 and early 1958 specials are the most sought after and most valued vintage Gibson Les Paul special. The frets are original, original hardware and plastics, original finish, original pickups, original Potentiometers and Tiger Caps, original tuners, original switch, original strap nuts, 3.5kg.
