These are the 1st generation FR05's: they use 15" + 2" premium quality American components from McCauley & Radian, all best cones, tested and in good working order and condition. fitted with genuine neutrik connectors in a premium quality Finnish birch multiply braced rebated dadoed cabinet. these are constructed to the highest standard of the top of the range meyer, martin, turbosound, coda, etc.Two full range higher quality, higher power capacity passive speaker boxes, list price around 3k each; for those not familiar with them, speakers are a 4" voice coil, not the 2.5" on cheaper boxes. the HF driver is a 2" throat 3" voice coil, not the 1.75" voice coil standard on cheaper boxes. the cabinets are made from birch ply; if you are not familiar with this lets just say that birch ply costs around $300 per sheet compared to about $60 for a sheet of "cd" quality structural pine ply. This is a passive system so you only need one amplifier channel to drive each box.
