If you have never owned a GREAT vintage Yamaha acoustic, here is your chance. This guitar, from the "World's Best Woods" series, is incredibly clean with virtually no scratches or evidence of wear! Probably kept in a case for most of its 41 years on earth. Fabulous sounding and very pristine vintage Yamaha. It was a single owner guitar and a top model in the line in 1976. The owner switched to electric rock shortly after buying this gem and kept it in great shape. Solid spruce top, quarter sawn for beautiful grain Bone nut and saddle Gorgeous rosewood 3-piece back and sides Action at 12th fret low E of 3/32 in. Saddle has room for lower action if desired Big Yamaha dreadnought sound and sustain Ebonized fret board shows no signs of wear Nickel silver alloy frets 16:1 chrome sealed tuners Adjustable truss rod under ebony look rosewood fret board Head stock "YAMAHA" inlay on rosewood Beautiful binding patina on body, neck, and head stock Smooth, true action up and down the neck Highly uncommon and distinctive transparent tortoise pick guard. Everything says Yamaha's best from 1976. Original yellow fur-lined case included.
One issue on the solid top: there is a small area with splits at the bottom of the treble side (last pic). Hard to see or feel, but it is there. Could be cleted if desired, but I don't think it is needed as the short splits are contained by the bracing. Truly a splendid vintage instrument you will treasure. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. Thanks for looking
