Fresh off the shop bench! This is an early blackguard tribute in the vein of a 1953-1954 model. Painstakingly aged with realistic heavy play wear and tremendous attention to detail. This tele is not for the faint of heart and indeed looks and feels over 60 years old. A great deal of man-hours were put into crafting this instrument. It sounds quintessentially "Tele" and feels like an old friend. Its undoubtedly inviting to play. This Telecaster was constructed using all licensed by Fender parts (New Old Stock Musikraft body and neck--before they started using the wood stamps). This guitar will indeed fool a lot of people. Leave your real-deal vintage Tele safe and sound its case and take this one to the stage. You won't be disappointed. All the so-called mass-produced "relics" made by the Bill Nash, MJT's, and Fender Custom Shop's of the world have absolutely nothing on this guitar. It looks and feels the part and begs to be played. Try to find another guitar that looks and feels this realistic without paying over $30K! Half the "relics" out there look absolutely unrealistic with non-sensical play wear (as if a blow torch and 4 ton truck were used in the process)....not this one! Specs are as follows: -ONE piece ash body made to 50's specs (Musikraft) -Aged "Blonde Burst" (turned Butterscotch with finish checking galore!) -One piece maple neck with soft med-chunky V profile, 7.25 radius, a little over 1 5/8ths at nut, .90 at 1st. .97 at 12th (with lovely finish checking and credible play wear) -Jescar 80 X 45 frets -Hand cut unbleached and polished bone not -100% Nitrocellulose Lacquer finish on both body and neck (no plasticizer - this is the old school stuff!) -Expertly aged period-correct hardware throughout (compensated saddles) -Weighs in at approximately 7.5 lbs. -Alnico V pickups (8.7K in bridge, 8.6K in neck) -Cloth wire throughout (CTS solid shaft 250k pots and .047 Sprague orange drop cap, CRL switch) -Aged and lacquered bakelite pickguard (just like the originals!) Not really into trades unless its something totally awesome. If local pickup, cash preferred, but PayPal pay a friend option is also accepted. Serious offers only!
