This is a Ferdinando Roth Eb alto clarinet made in Milan, Italy in the 1880's. It plays easily and beautifully, recently re-padded and new cork. It features the older Albert fingering system and big bore that is so sought after by the New Orleans jazz clarinetists, with a big, open sound. It has a hairline crack in the top of the upper joint, but it doesn't affect the excellent playability. This instrument is in great shape for being over 130 years old! It comes with a new hard case.
