Neck stamp is December 1965 - serial number reflects 1966 because it was Dec/JanVintage white with beautiful patina / mother of pearl scratch plate.Beautiful worn-in Brazilian rosewood neck with rolled edges from 50+years of playing. 22 fret 24" scale neck. Compared to my modern rosewood necks on my other guitars this feels mirror-smooth.Original bridge pickup and original switches and wiring. (Switches are 3-way for each pickup - on/ off /on reverse-phase).Only thing replaced looks like neck pickup - replaced at some stage with what looks like a 70s Stratocaster pickup.(I'm not an expert when it comes to electronics so I've photographed everything in case I'm wrong about something but I've double-checked with Fender forum experts on these details above.)After 50 years, there is much wonderful 'relicing' to the body paintwork (as photographed) created by actual playing.There is a ding in the neck at about the eighth fret (photographed) which was repaired at some stage, looks like a small chunk of wood came out on edge and was glued back - doesn't affect playing.) Also look closely at the nut - a second slot was cut for the high E string to move it away from edge of fretboard but works fine in original slot.Original silver hardshell case - these currently go for $300 alone on eBay (as you can check for yourself now).Can send you more shots if you give me your email address.Pickup in Melbourne/ St Kilda Road area.Feel free to ask questions.Own some Fender history!-------------Will pack carefully in a cardboard box.
