I'm very sad to have to sell my astonishingly beautiful Orville By Gibson Les Paul Custom in really beautiful and rare Wine Red. It was made in the world famous Terada factory in 1988, the first year they were making these so they were extra meticulous. It has really nice Gibson USA Pickups. My hope is that someone who understands its value and fully appreciates it will get it. Made in Japan by a handful of the much revered luthiers at Terada. Clearly these guys were guitar ninjas with otherworldly skill and pride in craftsmanship. Something you don't see anywhere in the world these days. I have held this guitar in such high regard in the time I've owned it that I barely even played it. At most, once a year I'd take it out and play it for a minute. It was always still in tune. Simply astounding. The unplugged tone is gorgeous and plugging it into an amp is an absolute treat. It just oozes vibe. Not sure if its the long neck tenon it has or what. Incredibly easy neck to play and the frets are in unbelievably near new shape. No major dings, chips or anything, just minor handling wear from being almost 30 years old. Truss rod is working like it should but I've never needed to adjust it. It just holds its intonation perfectly for years. There's a tiny bit of remnant glue around the top strap button, as you will see in the pic. The finish is still quite shiny, as you will also see from my reflection in the pictures :-)If you've never owned an Orville or Orville By Gibson you owe it to yourself to get one. I own three Gibson US Les Paul's from the 70's/80's and this Orville by Gibson is easily their equal and in some ways better. In fact, I've sold other Gibson's before I would part with this one. I have also owned 7 Orville and Orville By Gibson guitars and they were all amazing. I kept this one because it just has that "thing". That rare factor that is hard to find. It will absolutely crush any newer US Gibson's without even breaking a sweat. Plus, there are lots of black and white options in OBG Customs out there so this deep wine red really ups the rarity level.Unfortunately, I'm in a position where I have to sell this, so I am letting it go for a great price and have set a relatively LOW RESERVE.Obviously, this will ship from inside the US so there's no need to worry about high shipping costs or potential shipping incidents. Please check out my other auctions for some great gear!I've been selling with 100% feedback since the 90's so feel confident in your purchase. Please email if you have any questions at all. Shipping and insurance costs are approximate. I will calculate exact shipping costs upon receiving your exact address and shipping preference at auction close. Will ship internationally if you contact me and I approve you before you bid on the auction. Commensurate shipping and handling costs will apply. You’re a serious musician so be a serious bidder, cool? If you have Zero or negative feedback you MUST contact me before bidding. If you have less than 90% feedback I request that you not even bid. That way we save both of us time.I am not a dealer or a store, I’m just an honest guy selling his gear so I am not able to give warranties or anything of the sort. Funds are due within 3 days of auction close unless you use buy it now, in which case they are due via paypal immediately. Please don’t email me asking me to end the auction early because you want to get a steal. I will let the auction run its course because everyone deserves a chance.I will not sell/ship internationally due to bad previous experiences. US and Canada only.Best of luck!!!
