This violin is a copy of Joseph Guarneri “del Gesù,”. Label inside indicates that the violin was repaired by O H Bryant in Boston in 1914 forFelix Winternitz, a violinist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He sold the violin to W.G. Bartenfeld who was also playing in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. His granddaughter sold this violin to us.This Beautiful 7/8 model, recently professionally restored, has a consistent loud bright sound and is well suited to produce an even, strong, open and very rich sound.
