Gibson's introduction of a production guitar made entirely of certified environmentally friendly woods. Mahogany Back and Neck, carved top, believe it is natural maple.Gold Hardware & Pickups:  Gold-covered Humbuckers with cream surrounds. (Likely Neck 490R and bridge 498T)Two volume and two tone controls plus a three-way pickup selector switch.The bridge is a tune-o-matic and the tailpiece a stopbar. The black fronted headstock has Grover locking tuners (original vintage style tuners included) the "Gibson" logo and "Smartwood" stamped on the truss rod cover.Neck: 22 frets with pearloid dot inlays, Scale Length:  24 3/4 inches, Nut width:  1 11/16 inches.Body is thinner than most - 1 1/4" versus 1 3/4" for studio, etc., models, and is very light by comparison to most LPs.
