This is what it is. A 1959 Les Paul Special. I bought this from George Gruhn 20 years ago and it has never left my home studio. It is all original and still spanks the p-90 growl. I have tried to identify in the pics the more prominent dings, but its in pretty damn good shape for a 58 year old guitar. It is Cherry, not browned out. A variety of scratches etc. This is completely playable and is played regularly. The frets are not "new" but plenty of game in them. The case is not original.If you are deadly serious, I can have a call with you with Dave Neely at Neely Guitars and Hollywood and he can go in hand with you as far as the pickups and etc, but he will tell you what he told me. All original tuners, pickups etc. And there are no signs that there was ever a problem at the neck joint.Moving and need to thin the herd!
