The Ibanez FA700 is the true holy grail for any jazz guitar player. It was the highest, top-end model of Ibanez in the 1970s. It has a hand-carved solid spruce top with curly maple back and rims. It is actually the only solid spruce top Ibanez jazz guitar ever made, alongside with its predecessor, the Ibanez 2470. The FA-700 is said to be better sounding and better quality than the Norlin-era Gibson L5s, due to Gibson's low level of quality assurance in the 1970's.They hardly come up for sale, due to the fact that if someone owns want, they will be reluctant to sell it! Another example of this guitar, in worse condition than this and without the original hard case is currently on sale in the US for £3800! This Ibanez FA-700 features a beautifully polished ebony fingerboard with pearl inlays. You can tell by just a quick glimpse that Ibanez did spend time and craftsmanship on this model. This condition of this guitar is immaculate, this is what they call collectors-grade instrument!Almost impossible to see that it has been used and that it is 38 years old. This guitar, due to being a solid-wood construction, same as the actual Gibson L5, both acoustically and plug-in it sounds fantastic! The neck is straight with super-low, buzz-free action. The guitar is labeled inside and signed by Ibanez Master Luthier Tamura. Comes with its original Ibanez Hard Shell Case.Payment through bank transfer or cash on collection preferred!Below are further High Definition photographs of this beautiful guitar!
