What makes this guitar special: 100% original, and in fantastic playing condition. This ’72 comes in a rare custom color black, chock full of classic Tele tonality and an ultra-cool vibe. This one has been used, but not abused, and shows all the wear that only a lifetime of reasonable use can provide-a relic doesn’t even come close in terms of authenticity. It’s remarkably lightweight for a ‘70s model, too-perfect for long nights of playing. Professionally setup by our expert in-house luthier with fresh strings & low action-you can be sure this beauty will be ready to go right out of the case!Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused, with all kinds of standard wear throughout. Various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and dents, with areas of finish wear (most notably along the body edges) and buckle rash on the back of the body. Fingerboard edges show modest wear, but the board itself is in terrific shape and frets have a great deal of life left in them. A previous owner scratched a date on the top of the body beneath the pickguard, which is not visible with the guard on. Overall, this one has a terrific look to it, with a beautiful patina.Body: Solid alder body in custom black finish with 3-ply white pickguard. String-through bridge with triple barrel saddles. Ashtray bridge cover included in the case.Weight: 7 lb, 8.9 ozNeck: Semi-chunky C-shaped maple neck with black side dots and black dot inlays. Single string tree and Fender F-stamped tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Neck thickness measures .93” at first fret, .98” at the 12th. Original frets show some wear, but still have a lot of life left. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.Electronics: Dual single coil pickups (Neck-6.54k ohms, Bridge-6.27k ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and knurled chrome knobs, 1x volume, 1x tone. Pots date to '66 and all electronics are fully functional. Case: Original hard shell case included. Case shows some wear, and the top does sag a bit when open, but all latches function fine and it does the job well.
