1965 Fender Jazz Bass Black with Matching Headstock

This is a really great bass. I bought it even though I wasn't in the market, but it's so good that I had to have it (truth). But I've gotten more into double bass performance and I'm selling a few basses to pay for a double bass upgrade. I'll really miss this one.The body is an old refin. Three different vintage guitar store owners, (two in NYC and one in LA), over the years have told me that they believe the headstock and decal to be original. The fingerboard has clay dots and pre-cbs, reverse tuners. The neck is as smooth as glass and plays amazingly.With the exception of the tone capacitor, all the electronics are original, pre-cbs stock. The pickguard is new and one screw from one of the strap knobs is not original.Comes with the original case. Two of the latches are broken. The middle of works well and I usually keep it with a tight bungee cord around it. That's how it will ship.Please feel free to email me with any questions, or extra picture requests.
