This is for a Gibson Les Paul Custom from 1982. It has been Refinished to Look Like Zakk Wyldes Grail Les Paul. It has ZW EMG 81 and 85 Active Pickups with a Killer Pro Bullseye and Faded White Finish. It is Lite Weight for this era at 9.0 pounds. Which if you are familiar with late 70s early 80s Les Paul Customs it is about 1-2 pounds lighter then normal. It has a Nice Fat 3 Piece Maple Neck just like Zakks Grail Guitar but with Gold Grovers and Bone Nut. It has The Original Frets that have plenty of life left and Nice Low Action and a Straight Neck. The Ebony Board has a couple of very Small cracks in the Fingerboard which is normal For ebony from this era. It has not had a headstock repair, the 3 piece maple necks are known for being very stable especially compared to the mahogany ones. It is a great playing and sounding Les Paul and just has a great vibe and it is really fun to play and about the coolest looking finish on a Les Paul for me. There is a chip on the top back edge of the headstock, but just cosmetic and adds to the whole vintage Grail vibe for me. The Serial # and Made in USA Logo are faint with the Yellowed Finish but still visible especially in the right light. This one has all the right features that only Les Paul Customs From the Early 80s had. It ships in a Hardcase. |
