This is a 2017 Gibson M2, for "Melody Maker". I'm calling my build the "Melody Junior", because it has been upgraded to feature both the looks and sounds of both a Gibson vintage Melody Maker and a Gibson Les Paul Junior. A lot of the stock parts were very cheap, and the pickups sounded like standard, muddy Epiphone humbuckers. I have removed the quick connect wiring from the harness, but will include it. I have made these modifications: -I have installed a pair of Seymour Duncan P Rails which are wired through TS1 Triple shot mounting rings. (High output switchable humbuckers) Each rail and P90 pickup on these P Rails can be selected individually or switched to play as a humbucker- in series or parallel. So, per pickup you can select Rail, P90, humbucker (series) or humbucker (parallel) I will send wiring instructions from SD explaining wiring and switch selector which came with the P Rails. Made in USA. -The tuners that it came with were no-name junk die cast tuners that I swapped out for Kluson 3 on a plate classic white button tuners. These are single line tuners. The same ones that come on Melody Makers and LP Juniors. Made in USA. -Due to the larger hole left behind by the bushings of the die cast tuners, I had to install Kluson Adapter Bushings. There is a small indentation ring left behind by the larger - faced bushings, prior to my retrofit that can be seen on the face of the headstock. Made in USA -The bridge that it came with was very thick and the strings couldn't get low enough to give me the action I wanted, so I put a Lightning Bar bridge on it and that helped a TON. (I have spare bridge studs that I will send along with original bridge- these studs are scuffed. See pics) Epiphone imported part- LP Junior. -I have slightly filed the rather tall nut and set up action and intonation. Truss rod works flawlessly, good full chords with no buzz and no fretting out in the upper register. 12" fretboard radius is Gibson USA-perfect. It came with a gig bag with Gibson USA screenprinted on it with one large zipper pocket. This WAS a mediocre instrument that is now AWESOME. It does have a couple checks and dings, but everything is in the pictures. I tried hard to show every mark. With these pickups and all of the switching options from the mounting rings- you can create pretty much ANY sound you desire. Everything will ship in the original box from Gibson.
