For Sale – Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute 22” diameter x 18" deep bass / kick drum and 16" x 16" floor tom in “embossed silver” finish. Bass Drum: I purchased the bass drum one year ago as I really loved the finish and of course, the maple custom absolute sound. I purchased the bass drum knowing that it had several minor scratches and dings, mostly on the hoops. While it's easy to get overly fixated on the dings, I really haven't noticed them at all while I've owned the drum and it damn sure does not affect the sound! This bass drum sounds incredible. It's so easy to tune. As is standard with most Maple Custom Absolutes, they're great quality drums and never let you down with the sound. The hardware is in good condition and works as it should. In the spirit of full disclosure, please read my comments regarding the condition of the item as I explain the minor scratches and dings on the bass drum hoops. I have provided several pictures that show you the nature of the dings on the hoop. They are an accurate representation of what to expect. For the most part, the blemishes are contained to the two hoops. Floor Tom: I purchased the floor tom about 2 months ago to match the bass drum. The floor tom comes with just a few very light scratches. Again, the shell is in perfect condition; it's very tune-able. Die-cast hoops in great condition. Heads: The heads on both drums have been upgraded. The heads on the bass drum are about 5 months old with very little play on them. The bass comes with an EMAD 1 batter and a white, coated Evans resonant head with single port hole. The heads on the floor tom are 1 month old and have little play on them. The floor tom comes with a coated Evans G1 batter head and a clear, Evans EC resonant head. What about rack toms? *Note: I have been using a black glossy finish Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple 12" diameter x 9" deep rack tom with this kit. The black tom seems to go well with the black and silver pattern of the bass and floor tom. I would be willing to sell the Hybrid tom to you with this sale for a decent price. Just let me know and we'll find an agreeable price.
