LACHENAL & Co 48 BUTTON ENGLISH CONCERTINA
Serial No:49454 - circa 1914Here we have a Lachenal 48 button, 5 fold English Concertina, which I believe to be circa 1914. The instrument has rosewood cheeks, bone buttons and decorated paper bellows. The bellows are in good condition. The instrument has noticible playing wear but is in good working order. There appears to have been some restoration/repair work at some point as several of the original brass reeds have been replaced with steel. The work has been carried out to a high standard. Includes original case, missing handlePlease note: I have attempted to describe this concertina as accurately as possible, however I do not play the concertina, and while I am considered an expert in fretted instruments, my knowledge of free reed instruments is comparatively limited. Please feel free to ask questions and I will answer to the best of my ability
